The 9th Powering Africa Summit (PAS24) returns to Washington D.C. from 5 – 6 March 2024, serving as a platform for U.S. Government stakeholders, the World Bank Group, institutional investors, private financiers, and advisors from North America to collaborate with ministerial and governmental participants from countries across Africa.

Under the theme Capital Flows Underpinning the Energy Transition, the summit will focus on energy project development and infrastructure. PAS24 will create an environment to facilitate discussions on critical topics that include reducing the cost of debt, seeking alternatives to sovereign guarantees, and unlocking the climate finance that has been promised to Africa’s energy sector.

FMO and Solarplaza will, for the 5th time, host their joint ‘Future of Energy’ summit in Amsterdam. This high-level event unites a global mix of top project developers, financial institutions and investors, service providers, and asset owners to tackle the critical strategic challenges of accelerating the renewable energy transition in emerging markets around the world.

Experts on stage will discuss and shine a light on energy efficiency in emerging markets and developing economies, maximization of minigrid deployment, and the growth of the C&I and distributed generation segments. The summit will also highlight alternative energy offtake structures, ESG risk management, and the role of hydrogen in global decarbonization.
